My dear friend Julie Verscheure recently started her own fashion line: MOCCA. Back in the day, the strong urge to be unique expressed itself in her clothing. She started cutting up clothes and combining them, creating her very own denim jackets, dresses, t-shirts, hairbands, etc. Of course it wasn’t long before others started noticing and were inquiring where she was getting her urban style look from.

Julie soon started offering some of her creations to the interested. Word quickly caught on and I guess the rest is history. The offers are currently pouring in, however due to her study and work commitment, Julie’s gutted she doesn’t have time to start designing new pieces. She does LOVE the new line of work she has rolled into and is definitely planning a future in this.

To kick off the official start of the brand, Julie asked DARE to do a mini-photoshoot of the first collection that would be put on sale: of course I couldn’t say no! The very first collection consists of bleached, dyed and studded hand-made t-shirts and was immediately sold out.

A second shoot followed just before the end of 2013 and all I can say is: go check it out!

Currently Julie is only taking customised orders for hand-made t-shirts, but a new collection is definitely on the way! Interested in your very own MOCCA t-shirt or simply want to see more of her designs? Check out her facebook page.
